SplitYear is built so your information never has to leave your device. In plain terms: we cannot see your data, because we never receive it.

What we collect

Nothing. The SplitYear app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We do not operate a server that holds your records, and we have no access to what you enter.

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, stores nothing on your device, and collects no personal data. It gives us aggregate visit counts only and cannot identify you.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter (your trips, days, addresses, working pattern, ties, and any documents you attach) is stored locally on your device, inside the app. It stays there unless you choose to move it.

• Export & backup. When you export an evidence pack or a backup file, that file is created on your device and shared only where you send it (for example, to your own files, or to an adviser you choose). We are not involved and receive no copy.
• iCloud sync (optional). If a future version offers iCloud sync and you turn it on, your data is stored in your own iCloud account under Apple’s terms. It moves between your devices through Apple’s infrastructure; SplitYear has no access to it and keeps no copy.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell, rent, or share your data. There is nothing to share.
• We don’t profile you or build an advertising identity.
• We don’t use analytics or crash-reporting services that transmit your personal data.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives only on your device, you remove it by deleting the relevant records in the app, or by deleting the app itself. If you used optional iCloud sync, remove the app’s data from your iCloud settings as well.

Children

SplitYear is a tool for managing UK tax-residence and immigration-absence records and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
